Job Description

Sessional Support Worker – Teaching Assistant – HammersmithAre you a passionate, dedicated Sessional Support Worker looking for your next role 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Sessional Support Worker to join a team based in an Education, Health, and Well-being Hub in Hammersmith. You will be required todeliver excellent support to vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities.Umbrella Pay: £17.14 per hour.Duration: 25/09/2023 - 3 months initially.Hours: Ad hoc - varying shifts across 7 days p/week - office based.Information of the Role:

  • Support every vulnerable Adult through a personalised approach to enable them to stay safe, achieve, and ensure their wellbeing.
  • Assist vulnerable Adult’s with progression and support for moving into college, employment, apprenticeships, or further learning.
  • Participate with in Tutor led groups.
  • Enable them to increase their confidence and realise their potential.
  • Assist with the range of activities designed to meet the needs of the individual or small group of Adult’s.
  • Provide personal and emotional care.
  • Be responsible for the safeguarding vulnerable Adult’s in our care.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a way that enables people to exercise their rights, have meaningful Choice, Control, and Power over the support services they receive.
  • Be understanding of and sensitive to the needs and difficulties faced by vulnerable Adult’s.
  • Be observant for signs of potential abuse and to respond to disclosure of abuse.
  • Inform your employer of any situation which you consider represents a serious and imminent danger.
  • Develop strong trusting working relationship with the Adults you support.
  • Ensure personal information is collected, stored, and managed appropriately.
Requirements of the Role:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • 2 years’ experience of working with Residents with a Learning Disability, Physical Disability, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Mental Health, or Dementia.
  • Experience of working with Residents on 1:1, promoting Independent Living Skills
  • Ability to provide personal, and emotional care to high standards.
  • Must have a caring nature.
  • Must be patient and understanding.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enhanced Adult DBS registered onto the update service.
