Applicants will need to be open and confident supporting children aged 7- 16 with special needs such as severe learning difficulties, autism and complex behavioural and medical needs.The successful SEN teaching assistant will provide 1:1 care support through personal care, therapies, moving and handling and learning support through individualised learning plans. All children have an education health and care plan and having confidence with EHCPs or healthcare plans will be highly beneficial.The SEN school:Our special school is nestled between Hammersmith and Kensington with local access to a range of tube and train links across West London. Our school provides learning and social opportunities for children with special needs and specialise primarily with moderate learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties. However, all students have underlying speech, language and communication difficulties and some have autism, gross and fine motor skills difficulties.
