Job Description

Class 2 Driver - Multi DropMenzies Distribution are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team in Hamilton. This role is based on a basic35hour week workingMondayFridayClass 2 Driver Duties:

  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport manager
  • Supervising and helping to load and unload goods
  • Ensure the vehicle, a curtain sider with tail lift, is loaded and unloaded safely and within the legislation
  • Multi-drop pallet deliveries within Edinburgh and The Lothians
  • Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary
  • Safeguard the security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit to the customer
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
  • Refuel and clean vehicle
Class 2 DriverRequirements:
  1. A valid Category C (Class 2) Drivers Licence with a maximum of 6 points, for insurance purposes
  2. A valid digital tacho card and CPC card
  3. No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  4. A detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers hours
  5. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  6. Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
  7. Undergo a background check and drug/alcohol test if successful
