Job Description

Our client, a well known Public Sector organisation based in Hamilton, requires an Administrative Officer on a temporary basis to the end of the year. The salary for the position is £10.84 per hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm 37hours per week.A Standard Disclosure issued within the last 12 months is a requirement for this role.Main Purpose of the role:Administrative Officers carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the tribunal, facilitate hearings and provide support to other functions within the organisation.Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Carry out registration of any new applications to the MHTS within set timescales. Schedule individual cases to a hearing within the set timescales. Deal with individual cases in line with set processes
  • Prioritise workload in accordance with KPI and statutory timescales set within the mental Health Act
  • Collate all relevant case information, liaising with external stakeholders and the Presidents Office as necessary
  • Answer relevant case related queries via telephone, letter and email. Action any incoming mail within appropriate timescales.
  • Complete necessary intimation of scheduled hearings including appropriate documentation within set timescales
  • General administration tasks as required
  • Competent in IT systems including excel and outlook
  • When available attend fortnightly Legal Case Management meetings with the Judiciary, providing accurate and up to date information on live case
  • Complete mandatory e-learning

  • Excellent administrations skills gained in a similar role
  • Deals effectively with customer enquiries
  • Provides support and consistently accurate advice to customers
  • Manage time and a varied workload, to meet set deadlines; be flexible; support and promote change
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and assertiveness in dealing with difficult customers
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment
  • Able to work in a highly confidential environment
  • A good understanding of IT packages
