Job Description

ASSISTANT BUYER - MATERIALS PLANNER HALIFAX£25,000 - £27,000My client is leading manufacturing company based inHalifax and is currently looking for an Expeditor or Assistant Buyer to manage a portfolio of key supplier accounts.Working in a very busy & friendly manufacturing office environment, you will report directly to theSupply ChainManager, this is a superb opportunity for someone looking for a challenging supply chain career and to make the next step into apurchasing role.Working alongside theSupply ChainManager you will be required to manage your time efficiently, work in a fast paced environment and engage with the existing team whilst delivering a professional service to all their customers.Ensuring the daily completion of a variety of reports, processing high volume purchase orders, liaising with production for lead times,ensuring everything is completed accurately and on time. Monitoring stock levels, liaising with internal teams for stock availability and shortages. You will be responsible for updating all the orders on the bespoke in-house software.Dealing with all purchase requirements; Raising all purchase orders (high volume) for the business.Chase any over due orders and delays – inform relevant managers within various departments.Process all quotations from line managers to authorise all purchase orders.Stock reporting using Excel.Progressing orders for updates on deliveries, amend any invoice queries.Ideally you will be someone who is already carrying out purchasing related activities as part of your current role or has knowledge of purchasing as an administrator.
