Job Description

My client, a growing coating and dispersion company based in the Yorkshire area, are currently recruiting for a Analytical/Quality analyst for their growing technical team.This job is a permanent opportunity and is a great opportunity for someone to further develop their skills following an initial 2 years + experience within the Chemical industry.This job is commutable from Huddersfield, Bradford, Rochdale, Keighley and similar locations.Job Purpose: To oversee day to day running of QC laboratory.Day to day responsibilities:- Oversees the QC team and deals with issues on a day-to-day basis-Training of new members of QC team- Conduct lab/quality testing including total solids, pH, viscosity, specific gravity and particle size-Makes adjustments to production batches as required-Checking incoming raw material certificates of analysis against specifications-Maintainraw material specification and data files-Produces certificates of analysis for outgoing finished goods-Performs daily/weekly calibrations on lab equipment-Participates in regular meetings with the R&D managerAre you right for the role- You will have a Degree or Masters within Chemistry or related field- Alternatively, you will have A- levels or similar and 2 years’ experience within a laboratory, development or QC based position.- You will have an interest in Science/Chemistry specific work in a laboratory environment- You will have the desire to build and develop a career within the company- You will be located or willing to travel to the West Yorkshire areaThis is a great job opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Science and Quality/Analytical with a great company in Yorkshire, therefore please apply today to avoid disappointment.
