Job Description

A Quality Engineer Job opportunity has become available, within a leading manufacturing business. Located near Wednesbury, this well-regarded company is offering a competitive salary, for the right professional. Do you want to work within a modern Engineering facility Want to work for a business that has supplied precision-engineered parts across the globe for over 50 years Then we want to hear from you!Duties include -

  • Read and work from technical drawings, work cards and customer specifications.
  • Assist with product and process continuous improvement, documenting any changes.
  • Investigate quality issues and produce written cause and corrective action responses.
  • Help with new product introduction and 1st article inspection reports.
  • Apply the correct problem-solving tools such as RCA, 8D and 5Y.
  • Assist with internal audits, ensuring compliance to internal, customer & regulatory standards.
  • Assist with the training of staff and offer technical support to customers when required.
    • Desirable skills/experience/attributes -
  • Experience in a similar position, ideally a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally experience of working to ISO 9001 / UKAS / NADCAP / AS9100 systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving tools.
  • Customer and supplier facing experience.
  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering education.
