A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety & Environmental professional that wants a varied role with a good level of autonomy and responsibility.The company is a global manufacturing business based in Halesowen.I am recruiting for a HSE Coordinator to work closely with the HSE Management team and play a key role in advising on HSE issues and ensure all staff and workstations are compliant.Hours = This is a permanent, afternoon shift pattern, Mon-Fri 2pm-10pmSalary = £32,000 + 20% shift bonusBenefits to the role = Chance to gain knowledge and progress, 20 days holiday, increase with length of service up to 25 days, discretional bonus, annual salary review, dress down Fridays, gym discounts, life insurance and occupational health scheme.Duties include: To advise on hazardous materials, environmental issues and waste management To support onsite visitors and contractors Induct new employees, visitors, and contractors on Health Safety and Environment systems Review safe systems of work and carry out inspections to identify unsafe equipment, working conditions practices, fire hazards, environmental aspects & impacts Produce reports and recommendations regarding correction of any defects Carry out audits when required Conduct and complete various health and safety assessments, such as, Desk Screen Equipment, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health assessments, and risk assessments Ensure fire safety Manage accident / incident reporting, and associated paperwork Deputise for HSE Manager after 5:30pm To carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the Integrated Management System (IMS) function as requiredThe ideal candidate: Must have previous HS or HSE experience within a manufacturing/production, logistics or similar working environment Ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified but this is not essential Has an assertive character so can deputise for managers and keep the production team on track Strong, professional communicator Approachable Computer literate Happy to work permanent afternoon shift patternTherefore if you are looking for a well paid role, where you can develop and take on responsibility, then this is the role for you.Please do not hesitate and apply today.
