Alternative Provision (SEMH & Complex Needs) in Hackney, is currently recruiting for either an NQT or Experienced Teacher of DT Teacher (RM) / Design Technology Teacher. Immediate, full time and long-term post.Creative & Innovative Provision in Hackney, that caters to children who have been diagnosed with Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, & ASD. Children who attend are from Primary up to Secondary levels. Teaching at this AP (Alternative Provision) is Good with Outstanding features and all new teaching staff must be able to mirror this. Dedicated staff who engage their students. Staff ensure a positive interaction with a great outcome in de-escalating behaviour. The Head has a wealth of SEN experience and is a true visionary & inspiration.Great opportunity, for a long term DT Teacher/ Design Technology Teacher / Teacher of Design Technology / Teacher of DT who preferably specialises in Resistant Materials and Product Design. You will be able to teach at KS3 & KS4 levels and must be able to teach fun and engaging lessons. This role would an NQT or Experienced DT Teacher and must have experience teaching in either a PRY/ AP/ SEN School or Mainstream School with behavioural difficulties (ieCAMHS/SEMH/ADHD/ ASD/ ODD/ SEN / Behaviour etc). You must be a empathetic and enthusiastic DT Teacher who is able to engage young people and de-escalate behaviour effectively if required.
