Job Description

Supply Chain Analyst Guiseley £25,000My client, a global manufacturing business, is looking for someone that loves working with Excel forecasting with a supply chain environment for their site based in Guiseley. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidatewill be responsible for managing stock levels including forecasting materials and packaging requirements against planned production.You will be responsible for securing the supply of parts for production in a timely and cost-efficient manner to satisfy customer service and specified inventory and quality levels.As such you will be the first point of contact for the resolution of issues to ensure continual flow of material into the business.About youThe successful candidate will have some previous experience of working within a Supply Chain environment and ideally will have had exposure to forecasting with Excel.Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain, influence and develop relationships is a key requirement for this role.The successful candidate will:

  • Liaise both internally and externally to manage stock levels ensuring materials and packaging are available on time and in full against planned production
  • Manage the supply base, placing orders and agreeing any supplier credits or rebates for products not meeting specification
  • Raise Purchase Orders within the system, querying invoice resolution and ensuring invoice price discrepancies are minimalised
  • Maintain the Materials Requirement System and ensure Forecasts are aligned to Production and Commercial Forecasts
  • Set up and maintain new material and supplier codes within the system
Essential skills / experience include:
  • A hands on, flexible and adaptable approach with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels and functions, both internally and with suppliers
  • An ability to adapt and respond to change with a strong attention to detail
  • Computer skills: Microsoft ExcelPivot tables Vlook ups is ideal
Salary offered is £25,000
