Job Description

Do you have an interest of working within the Education sector Are you available to start work immediately Office Angels are currently recruiting for an Administrator, to join our client who is based in Guisborough, on a temporary ongoing contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator to further develop within Education,however the company are also open to considering candidates who have Administration experience with an interest in gaining experience within a busy and varied HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager your main focus will be to provide a high standard of confidential administrative support within the HR function across the educational facility.This is an urgent role to start as soon as possible and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check. If you currently hold a recent Enhanced DBS or are on the update service this is highly beneficial, however not essential.

  • Location: Guisborough
  • Pay rate: £12+, negotiable depending on experience
  • Immediate start until July half term, however, could continue longer thereafter
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, however flexibility is offered for this position, full and part time hours can be considered, such as 9AM - 3PM.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To assist with all aspects of administrative support:
  • Supporting the recruitment process through the preparation of adverts, administration of interview arrangements and drafting of contracts of employment
  • To assist with all aspects of Safer Recruitment, including carrying out DBS checks and following up reference requests
  • Assist with the organisation of cover arrangements for absent staff.
  • Organise and maintain filing systems and ensure filing and archiving are completed in a timely manner, including responsibility for the archiving and monitoring of all leaver files.
  • To deal with telephone and face to face enquiries promptly and efficiently, taking accurate messages, forwarding to the relevant person and action where appropriate and within the remit of the role
  • To arrange meetings as directed, including booking rooms, arranging refreshments, preparing papers and sending out invites. This may include supporting the organisation of professional development days and hearings
  • Taking notes at disciplinary, grievance and other similar meetings and hearings as required
  • Provide other general clerical duties including photocopying and sorting incoming mail
