Job Description

REED Finance and Accountancy are pleased to be working with a school that are looking for a permanent Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations across the organisation.Salary: £23, 434 - £24, 879 per year37 hours per week, Term-time only (TTO) + 15 days

  • Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work hard under pressure, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Main responsibilities will be:
  • Provide high quality financial advice and guidance to budget holders and Schools
  • Support the Finance Director with the development of the schools annual budget, the production of annual financial statements, producing accurate financial reports, implementing month end procedures, undertaking monthly payroll checking as required
  • Responsible for the management of the school transport service
  • Responsible for the input of all debtor and creditor documents
  • Oversee cash management systems, ensuring that internal controls covering the handling of cash are robust
  • Supervise and manage other finance team members within the school including the management of their training, development and performance in line with procedures
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children for whom you have responsibility or come into contact with, to include adhering to all specified procedures
The successful candidate must be:
  • AAT qualified or relevant accounting experience
  • Computer Literate with strong Excel skills
  • Experienced of year end accounts
  • Successful team player
  • Confident, with high level of personal integrity and effective communication/networking skills
  • Experience of working in education sectordesirable but not essential
