Job Description

Imperial Professionals are working exclusively with a very successful Solicitors in the Guisborough area who are looking to appoint a part time Accounts AdministratorJob Title: Part time - Accounts AdministratorLocation: GuisboroughSalary: £19,500 - £23,500 pro rataHours: 17.5 hrs - 21 hrs - Monday, Wednesday, and FridayType: Permanent - Part timeResponsibility

  • Sales Ledger duties including credit control, debt management and processing bank transactions
  • Purchase Ledger duties including checking and matching purchase orders, delivery dockets and invoices, obtaining bank details from suppliers, reconciling supplier statements and dealing with any purchase ledger queries from suppliers and staff.
  • Reconciling bank statements.
  • Reconciling Land Registry transactions
  • Liaise with Accountant.
  • Produce various reports for Management
  • Provide accounts support to staff on a daily basis
  • Responsible for coordinating holidays and other leave to ensure adequate cover across the office
  • Ensure compliance with and to be aware of all aspects of requirements imposed by the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies including Health & Safety
  • Observe and comply with all good working practices within the office
  • Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE level or above (including English & Maths - Grade C)
  • Excellent experience of all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Effective telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work confidentially and to treat issues with sensitivity
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work
  • Ability to manage a number of tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy
  • A willingness to undertake training as required
  • Further training may be available
  • Desirable:
  • Experience of using Insight Legal accounts package
  • Experience of working in a busy office
  • Knowledge and experience of Purchase & Sales Ledger
