Team Leader - Transport Band 4 - Full Time (37.5 hours) - PermanentBerkshire and Surrey Pathology Transport Services BSPS are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and highly flexible Team Leader to lead a team of drivers within the Transport department.BSPS is an NHS partnership organization operating between Frimley Health, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, Royal Berkshire Hospital. BSPS Transport Services is responsible for carrying out efficient and safe transportation of mail, laboratory samples, pharmacy, medical records and stores between hospital sites and other NHS organisations within the region.You will be based at the Cody depot in Farnborough, managing a team of drivers covering runs across the business. BSPS Transport provides services to customers between 06:30 and 23:00, Monday to Friday as well as at weekends. Hours will vary to meet the urgent demands of the business, but it is likely that the hours will be 08.30 to 17.00 in the first instance.The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include strong support to the Head of Transport, comprehensive staff management throughout the employee life cycle including induction of new staff, training, objective setting and performance management. The successful applicant will also play a full part in the operational management of the department as a member of the transport management team and cover runs as required. In addition the successful applicant will be expected to lead on a number of corporate initiatives e.g. Health and Safety, COSHH and staff uniform provision.You should be reliable, have a responsible and flexible attitude with good organisational skills, and be resourceful, honest, with the commitment and ability to work on your own or as part of the team.You must have a full clean driving license and management experience at an appropriate level and or NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
