Job Description

This role is a great opportunity to continue your career in one of the UKs top insurance businesses, Working within a dynamic team, you will play a key role in ensuring that Allianz and its clients trade in a compliant manner to reduce or mitigate any risk or regulatory exposure.As a Technical Support Underwriter you will be providing and supporting comprehensive range of governance processes across Commercial and Personal lines collaborating with other business functions.You must demonstrate a proactive approach, the ability work closely and build strong relationships both internally and externally.You are able to manage your own workloads and adjust priorities accordingly.You will be involved in the Underwriting and Governance and supporting the wider team on Delegated Authorities and Inspection administration and will work with various areas of the business. Supporting the Allianz Excellence in Technical Training programme and CII memberships.You will work as part of a team that sits within the wider Allianz UK Technical area so you will benefit from exposure to a wide variety of different functions, teams and individuals. Some of your responsibilities will include

  • Managing the day to day administration of the Excellence in Technical Training programme which includes
  • Recording assessment results, feedback and producing certificates
  • Arranging and booking in Training sessions and assessments
  • Creating and updating learning Material including ELearning and bite size modules
  • CII Memberships , invoices and renewals
  • Managing the in house CII exam centre
  • Understanding, developing and maintaining underwriting authorities and controls across Allianz to minimise the exposure to the business and recommend remedial action where required
  • Supporting the wider team and work collaboratively with a variety of business areas to
  • Coordinate changes to documentation such as policy wordings
  • Arrange external inspections and drive forward recommendations/actions from inspections to a conclusion
  • Ensure technical content is signed off by the correct business function
  • Review and obtain sign off for Technical communications
  • Creating a strong internal network as well as supporting any projects and change programmes
  • Flexible working arrangement however you will be required to travel to the Guildford Head Office when requiredSkills and Experince:
  • Excellent organisational skills with previous experience of coordination, planning and administration Able to effectively manage own time and be able to prioritise workload effectively whilst managing multiple priorities
  • Work own initiative and be able to make decisions where necessary
  • Effective communicator, ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally and the ability to work as part of a team
  • PC literate with a good knowledge of Word and Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to change
