JA791 - Transport refrigeration engineer.LocationSouth of England - HampshireSalary - £DOE with overtime OTE of £50KOverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Transportation Refrigeration Engineer for our client in the South East of England and candidates can be based anywhere in the South East of England. The successful candidate will be responsible for Installation, maintenance,and repair of transport refrigeration equipment and our client is willing to consider candidates with FGAS certification but no industry experience but good all-round mechanical/electrical skills. Customers include Bidvest Foodservice, Brakes, Waitrose, Ferryspeed and Sainsburys along with numerous frozen and chilled food distributors. Our client supports the environmentally friendly electric refrigeration systemsmanufactured by FRIGOBLOCK, who are the market leaders in Europe for low emission transport refrigeration systems. They are also the UK distributors for Euroscan temperature recording systems. Demand for clean refrigeration equipment is creating a demand foradditional resource. Our client is willing to consider candidates with good transferable skills who are looking to move in to a new career/industry.The roleThe refrigeration engineer would be based at one of our depot locations in Southampton, Aylesford, or Witham, and will be expected to travel to customer sites and undertake maintenance and repair work on transport refrigeration equipment. This will involve a broad range of tasks from servicing, repairs to electrical and refrigerantsystems along with work on diesel engine systems. The engineer will be expected to participate in an emergency callout rota to provide support to customers at night, weekends, and bank holidays. It is therefore important that the engineer has adequate abilityand experience to work independently. They will require space to park a 3.5 tonne van at their place of residence. The equipment is now becoming more software driven, and so they will be expected to be able to use a laptop to programme and diagnose faultson equipment.Skills and Experience
