Job Description

Senior Software Engineer (AWS Lambda, Java, Microservices, React.js)

  • Fully remote, company remote by design (Should be UK based for tax reasons)
  • £60k to £65k plus 2 weeks per year of training (paid for)

  • Using latest technology and follow best practice - TDD, BDD, CI / CD
    • Ideal skills and experience;
  • Strong commercial experience developing AWS Cloud Services (Currently using AWS Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, QuickSight and CloudFormation)
  • Solid experience building back-end data services, APIs or microservices in a Managed Cloud Services environment
  • Strong Java Software Engineer with a steady permanent career history
  • Experienced in software quality, test and development techniques (TDD, BDD, CI/CD)
  • Strong understanding in DevOps, Agile, Scrum and the SDLC
  • Experience of automated testing
  • React.js would be a bonus, or good JavaScript Dev experience
    • Key Responsibilities;
  • Design and implement complex backend containerised and serverless microservices on AWS while leveraging AWS Lambda
  • Integrate with high scale data solutions to create comprehensive and scalable solutions
  • Develop testable, readable and effective production quality code
  • Work within an Agile Development Team to implement best in class solutions
