With investment of over £45m, our facilities and those of the wider University present a wonderful backdrop for the right person to contribute towider society and develop their skills and career.The roleAs Senior Pathology Technician youll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated team with the opportunity to build your skills and career across teaching, research, and commercial activities. Youll be responsible for preparing the laboratoryfacilities and preparing cadavers for Pathology examination by a team of Pathologists, Residents, and also for our final year students. This includes setting up equipment, receiving submissions, preparing and assisting Pathologists as they deliver teaching,and supporting students as they work through their practical learning activities. Theres lots of variety, lots of interaction with students, academics, and research colleagues, with a small amount of processing and administration work.Please note that the role is physically demanding (i.e. involves lifting of materials).About youWe are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in science and a practical approach to work. You may be familiar with working in a laboratory environment or may have worked within the Butchery industry, and this may have been throughyour own education or through practical work experience.
