Avanti Recruitment is working with an award winning and rapidly growing technology company in Guildford to recruit a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. We are looking for someone who brings strong knowledge of Linux Servers, virtualised environments and Cisco Networking. You will be working in a small team of talented Infrastructure Engineers and will have influence over the future adoption of new technologies and processes as they looking to constantlyimproves the scalability and reliability of the software systems they offer to clients. You will have the opportunity in future to explore the automation of BAU activities (BAU is currently roughly 30% of the role) to allow you to focus more time on Infrastructureprojects (currently 70% of the role) and this may involve investigating and implementing some of the latest approaches and technologies.To be considered you will be an experience Linux Infrastructure Engineer (they used Centos), have strong knowledge in a Datacentre environment with VMWare and have good knowledge of Cisco Switches and Firewalls. They are using VMWare and hyper-convergedinfrastructure with Nutanix. They run over 450 servers to host their software applications for clients in a datacentre environment. Their applications are developed in Java with Apache Web Servers and Tomcat. They have a VPN between their Datacentre locationsand uses tools such as Qualys and Netsis for monitoring and securing their networks. Experience of any of these technologies would be highly beneficial.This will be a challenging and rewarding Senior Infrastructure Engineer role so if you have the Linux and Cisco skills required please APPLY NOW!
