Job role:Activate Learning are currently seeking an enthusiastic Performance Coach/Practical Tutor in Arboriculture to join our team based at Merrist Wood College. This post will be a full-time, permanent contract to co-ordinate and deliver the Arborist Apprenticeship programme, including workplace visits to relevant employers. Duties will also include the supervision and facilitation of practical training and assessment across a range of college-based arboriculture courses.About you and what do you need to be successful Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional Level 3 qualification within the subject area, and NCPT assessor qualifications as listed in the job description, as well as relevant industry experience.For those applicants without a L3 qualification, significant industry experience would be required. Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification. In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational, and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students acting as a role model throughout.
