Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Senior Brand Communications Manager in creating high quality video, podcast and online news and blog content that positions the brand clearly and positively against the competition, generates inbound traffic to the websiteand creates customer engagement to encourage loyalty and recommendation.Client DetailsThis educational training specialist has an outstanding reputation operating across the UK as well as overseas. This is a Hybrid position with offices in central Guildford.DescriptionThe position of Multimedia journalist will include the following responsibilitiesCreating content: video, pictures, podcasts, social media, news writing, blogs, press releases

  • Delivering the content and PR strategy in line with business goals and brand position
  • Help increase the quality and output of podcast, video and image content
  • Deliver high-quality, thoroughly-researched, accurate and engaging multimedia content that drives our digital audience
  • Provide coverage of internal and external events, exhibitions and daily online news through video/podcast interviews
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day social media activities including online advocacy, writing editorial content, community outreach, promotions etc.
  • Maintain and contribute to the editorial calendar that supports the overall marketing content strategy
  • Develop, write and edit engaging posts for the mix of social media channels
  • Answer media enquiries on and offline
  • Help the Senior Brand Communications Manager with PR when required
ProfileTo be successful in this position you will need the following skills:
  • A years experience working for a media organisation preferably covering stories and providing multimedia content for a news website
  • Blogging and social media skills
  • Experience using standard audio and video recording equipment and editing software and be comfortable on both sides of a video camera/digital recorder.
  • Be confident in telling stories through words, pictures, audio and video for the website and various publications.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Able to get on well with people, build relationships and work as part of a team
Job OfferOn offer is a basic salary of c£28,000 plus benefits.
