Job Description

About the opportunity:We are the internal recruitment partner for a small global organisation in the tech space.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and capable Group Financial Controller to join our dedicated team of professionals working across their legal entities across Europe and the UK.As a Group Financial Controller, you will be part of their exciting journey over the next few years. They are a Private Equity backed organisation working towards a 3-4 year exit strategy. You will experience and work through all stagesof the strategy with the Senior Management Team with the opportunity to have a big impact through implementing improved reporting.Responsible for a team of 2 and local financial consultants, the role will see you have a hands on approach for all accounting and financial reporting for group consolidation and the subsidiary companies.The successful Financial Controller will have previous experience of working within a similarly structured organisation and have the ability to navigate successfully across the complex service offerings to clients across all the group subsidiaries, globally.RequirementsWho we are looking for:The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience as a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ACMA)
  • Experienced in an international business, working with complex intercompany accounting
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A completer-finisher with excellent attention to detail who cares passionately about being precise and accurate. No nonsense / sleeves rolled up person comfortable in dealing with the detail required, whilst also able to operate comfortably across thebusiness
  • Intellectual capability to cope with numerous different accounting and tax jurisdictions.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, confident, and commercially aware approach to decision making and planning
  • Self-motivated, success driven, able to work independently,
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in the use and optimisation of accounting systems, together with advanced Excel skills
Advantageous:
  • Experienced with and understanding financial and performance metrics for a professional services business
  • Experienced in the IT / cyber sector
  • Expertise in Xero and/or Power BI
  • Additional language skills in Dutch, Finnish, or German would be beneficial
