Graduate Level Business Analyst, Guildford, £27000 to £32000* (to £50k with experience)+ benefits / hybrid workingThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst (or a graduate* with strong Excel skills seeking an analytical role) to join a small niche consultancy business in a key analytical role. This is a new position created to addfurther value as the company continues to grow, so now is a great time to join this business.In this busy and challenging new job, you will be involved in varied analytical work, handling large data sets, building and maintaining spreadsheets (hence the essential requirement for strong Excel skills), creating reports and communicating your findings.You will gather and analyse data and provide information and analysis on investments, debts and other facets of client agreements whilst reporting on data provided to inform business decisions. You will also analyse and advise on the status of accounts andvarious other KPIs relating to quality and performance. You will identify trends, forecast performance and suggest strategies for improving business operations.The client is looking for someone with good analytical skills, able to manage large data sets, performing data analysis using functions and formulas, and create charts and graphs to visualize data (Excel must be at least intermediate if at graduatelevele.g. use of Macros, Pivot Tables etc). Any work experience in a relevant industry sector (Investments, working with solicitors, client managers) would be useful; however this is not essential as long as the analytical ability and Excel skillsare there and the person is keen to learn and to add value quickly. You will liaise directly with clients and managers too, so confidence and the ability to communicate and relay information will be important.This role will suit an experienced Business Analyst at the top end or a recent graduate with some analytical ability and decent Excel skills. The salary will reflect your experience. But if you are detail-oriented, analytical and have apassion for business improvement then the opportunity is just as good at either level.This is a permanent, full time job. Hours of work are 9-5 but there can be some flexibility in start / finish times. The job will be office based initially, but can move to a hybrid working model once training / business familiarisation is complete. Salaryis very much negotiable depending on the relevance and level of a candidates experience, but is likely to be in the range £27-50K.
