Surrey County Council is the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) for Surrey and our duties under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 are delivered and coordinated by the Strategic Network Resilience Team. As LLFA we are responsible for developing and implementing a Local Flood Risk Management Strategy to reduce the effects of flooding on the County’s communities. We do this in partnership with other Risk Management Authorities such as the Environment Agency, Water Companies and Borough and District Councils.Surrey County Council has recently committed to investing £33m to deliver the objectives of our Flood Risk Management Strategy over the next ten years. The Flood Risk Infrastructure and Programming Team will play a large part in shaping the wide programme of works including major schemes to reduce flood risk and protect our communities and infrastructure.To deliver this increased investment we are looking for an experienced individual to lead our Flood Risk Infrastructure and Programming Team. As well as managing, supporting and developing the team, you will also lead on developing and delivering a multi-million pound capital programme.
