Job Description

My client is one of the worlds biggest names in video games. Due to ongoing expansion, a new role has become available in the UK marketing team.Job DescriptionThe newly created UK Editorial Content Manager plays a key role in the UK marketing team and in partnership with the international content team. The role reports to the Head of Brand, Media and Content. The key focus of the role will be to work with external agencies and international teams across the company with the goal of helping develop and coordinate content relating to gaming, the brand, teams, players, media, influencers and the public for distribution on various channels.The primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading the management of UK content, including videos, visual assets, blog posts and articles.
  • Paid media buying as per agreed international guidelines to support the discovery of content.
  • Management and coordination of the selected external UK content agency.
  • Ensuring the regular on-time delivery of planned content and work with EMEA and key partners to deliver localisation and coordinated release in the UK.
  • Management of the local content and media budgets in coordination with the Head of Media, Social & Content and the UK Marketing Director.
  • Provide visibility and reporting to UK Management, EMEA and other partners on content creation, results and overall learnings, notably via regular updates of UK channels and content performance.
  • Coordinate with the UK Community Manager (agency based) and EMEA regarding Social Media posts and overall activity.
  • Collect and provide feedback on core content, to be delivered to EMEA.

  • The UK Editorial Content Manager plays must have the ability and willingness to tackle tasks big and small, an analytical eye, attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask and keep a cool head under pressure.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal partners, from briefing and negotiation to constructive feedback.
  • A positive and collaborative team player.
  • Deep knowledge of the video game, technology or entertainment industries & video game culture.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
  • Desired Experience
  • Previous experience in the development of video production / visual communication, including familiarity with Adobe programs (Photoshop, Premiere, AfterFX, etc.).
  • Experience working with influencers/talent and a good knowledge of UK influencers
  • Demonstrable experience of paid media buying, either in-house or in an agency environment.
  • Collaborative project management skills.
