Last year I had a fall whilst out shopping and it shook my confidence. I stopped going out to the shops or into the garden on my own, and even became scared of going up the stairs to bed. I can get muddled with peoples’ names from time to time too and forget to do certain jobs. I am in the early stages of Dementia you see. Then along came Pauline, she’s an angel. She will help me with my daily routines and little things that have become more difficult. She will help me get up in the morning, get washed and dressed and make me some breakfast. On other days she will take me out for some fresh air, to the shops, and on rainy days we will bake together, I love a slice of cake and a chat. She might even help me up the stairs to bed in the evening and make sure I’m ok. I don’t know what I would do without Pauline, she brightens up my day and helps me keep living life to the full."
