Job Description

I am working with an automotive client based in Guildford who is on the lookout for a Chassis Engineer to join the growing team.Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

  • Design activities in the design team
  • Using Catia V5
  • Designing chassis systems including steering Racks, EPAS steering columns, suspension components, wheels and brake systems
  • Liaising with the prototype workshop to define components and support test vehicle build
  • Liaising with project management and the purchasing team to ensure budgetary and timing plans are met Conduct meetings with suppliers and technical partners
  • Scheduling activities to promote engineering deliverables that meet required specifications
  • Ensure designs meet relevant regulatory requirements
    • Experience and Skills:
  • Experience within motorsport and sports cars
  • Catia V5
  • Capable of carrying out hand calculations for components and correct material choices
  • Understand bush design for NVH, ride and handling
  • Good working knowledge of ABS, ESC and TC
    • Desirable Experience and Skills:
  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge & experience of EPAS, active suspension systems
  • FEA software
