Senior Project Engineer (Contract Position)Our client is a leading player in the food production industry, committed to delivering high-quality and innovative products to consumers worldwide. With a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Engineer with a proven track record in overseeing and managing engineering projects within the food production sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects ranging from £20k to £3million in value, from conception to completion, while adhering to industry regulations, safety standards, and project timelines.Key Responsibilities:1. Project Management:* Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring successful and timely completion within scope, budget, and quality parameters.* Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.2. Engineering Expertise:* Provide technical expertise in food production processes, equipment, and systems.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise engineering solutions that enhance production efficiency and product quality.3. Risk Management:* Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.* Proactively address and resolve issues to minimise project disruptions.4. Regulatory Compliance:* Ensure that all engineering projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.* Work closely with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.5. Stakeholder Collaboration:* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external vendors to achieve project objectives.* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.Qualifications:* Relevant Engineering and Project Qualifications.* Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the food production industry.* Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, automation, and manufacturing processes.* Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering results within scope, budget, and schedule.* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the food industry.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.* Experience with MS Projects and AutoCAD.This role will be an initial 6-month contract.Please click and apply to register your interest.
