Job Description

Job Advertisement: SEND Teaching AssistantCompany: TradewindLocation: Primary school in GrimsbyPosition: Full-time SEND Teaching AssistantTradewind, a leading educational recruitment agency, is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school located in Grimsby. As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the school community, focusing on SEND support in classrooms, ensuring student well being, implementing safeguarding procedures and providing essential support within the classroom.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement individualised education plans (EHCPs).
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning objectives.
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 15:30
Salary:The pay for this role is between £76 and £96 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Duration:This position is available immediately and will be until July 2024.Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
