Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are working with a Grimsby based client as they look to recruit a Product Design Engineer.THE JOB:Reporting to a Principle Engineer, the job holder will have responsibility for the following activities:

  • Seek out new processes and materials to develop the quality and reliability of DOM products.
  • Support the continual improvement of products and contribute to the innovative development of new products.
  • Act as Project Manager for new products from concept to commercial realization, prototype programs and expedition of specific orders.
  • Provide technical services for timely progress of all received orders.
  • Carry out finite element analysis of hose and system design.
  • Carry out hose testing in a customer focused R&D environment.
  • Resolve issues related to hose materials supply and manufacture.
  • Provide client support from office base, with occasional visits to client site.
  • Prepare technical reports and deliver technical presentations.
    • THE PERSON:Educated to degree level or equivalent.Must be competent in report writing.Must be a good communicator.Good understanding of engineering design principles and ability to translate theory into practiceSeveral years engineering experience in a related industry.THE BENEFITS:Hours: 37.5 hours a weekFlexi time working arrangement.
