Job Description

Operations AccountantGrimsbyHighly competitive salary & Study SupportYou will report directly to the Operations Financial Controller for a large production site, whilst working alongside other teams to provide financial analysis, implementing strategic decisions to drive performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing accurate operational KPI reporting for 3 sites on a daily/weekly/periodic basis which involves looking at stock, labour, yield and capital
  • Preparing weekly KPI reviews for the Head of Operations and Financial Controller
  • Reporting on trends and analysing WoW/YoY movements
  • Liaising with different departments from factory floor to Head of Operations to drive profitability and supporting the senior team to deliver key business goals
  • Stock management and reconciliation, advising on ageing stock and stock at risk, with the aim of spotting trends
  • Identifying slow moving stock and identifying ways to combat this without affecting financial performance
  • Assistance with capex proposal and payback
  • Developing and implementing strategic decisions with the manufacturing management team to drive site performance
The right person will be:
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or strong QBE
  • You will need to have worked ideally in FMCG or manufacturing with high volume transactions
  • Experience of working with non-finance managers
  • IT literate including ERP systems and strong experience on Excel (pivots, lookups and macros)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
