We believe our people are the best in the business, they are friendly, expert and professional.Salary:£35,978Location: GrimsbyWorking Hours: Mon - Thursday 1800-0600 - NIGHT SHIFTMain purpose of the job:Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.Main responsibilities:- Assessing the extent of damage to mechanical and electrical components-Repairing or replacing damaged panels and components to a required standard-Using diagnostic equipment to diagnose and fix electrical faults-Removing parts and panels off a range of vehicles-Carrying out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition in line with approved methods-Ensuring that all nuts, bolts, screws and any other fixings are labelled and correctly stored ready for when the stripped parts and panels are needed to be put back on to the vehicle.-Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required-Training bodyshop trainee staffSkills and experience required: - Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician-Qualified as a MET Technician (we accept different certificates and accreditations)-Full UK Driving Licence with ability to drive manual and automatic cars comfortably-Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.-You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers-You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required-Excellent attention to detailWhy choose BCA- Onsite parking-Employee Assistance Programme-Eye care scheme-Access to BCA Rewards which provides online and store discounts with a range of retailers-Cycle to work scheme-Training/apprenticeship offering-Deals on new carsWe try to make working for BCA rewarding in every sense, including a positive work environment, training and development opportunities as well as exciting career options.
