In return, were offering a competitive salary of £19,760 per annum.About the Joinery Apprenticerole:As our Joinery Apprentice,you will work closely with one of our experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers at LHP, together you will provide comprehensive repairs services for our domestic properties in accordance with the relevant safety regulations and departmentalprocedures.What do we offer

Our 2 year apprenticeship programme offers an excellent opportunity for you to apply and develop skills in a practical, real world setting. It offers a mix of on-the-job live experience, through shadowing members of ourResponsive Repairs & Void teams plusthe ability to learn some theory and joinery skills at college (1 day a week)As part of your apprenticeship, we will support you to gain aLevel 2 Carpentery & JoineryTo encourage you through your apprenticeship you will have an abundance of support, including:
  • A nominated mentor to guide you through the day-to-day requirements of a Joiner
  • Regular meetings with your team leader & our Internal talent team to ensure that you are learning at the right pace, and you have all of the support you need
  • Quarterly celebrations of milestones reached with other colleagues in the LHP Trainee programme
What are we looking for in our Joinery Apprentice
  • Were looking first and foremost for someone who shares and demonstrates our value of Customer First
  • A desire to ensure LHP customers are safe in their homes
  • Have a keen interest in Carpentry and a motivation to build a career in the industry as a joiner
  • Great listening skills and a keen passion to learn from one of our experienced Multi-skilled Engineer
  • A passion to attend further training and developing skills in other trades (i.e tiling, plumbing, plastering)
  • A team player and a strong work ethic with a drive to work with the wider team and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written so you can explain the work you are carrying out to our customers
  • Ability to understand basic measurement and levelling (both vertical and horizontal).
  • Ability to transform single dimension drawings to 3 dimensional structures
  • An expectation to achieve a full driving license during the apprenticeship
  • IT literate and be able to learn how to use a handheld device.
  • Be accountable for your working toolkit and your professional development
  • Ability to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of this post.
Your Qualifications
  • 3 GCSEs grade C/4 or above including Maths & English
