Job Description

HGV Technician | Grimsby | You will work 11.5 hour day shifts 4 on/4 off rota | £16.00 per hour | Overtime is currently £20 per hourOur client operates in the commercial vehicle and trailer market within the UK and mainland Europe offering rental solutions, sales and maintenance facilities including Tachograph Calibration and 2 Lane Authorised Testing Facility.Are you the right person for the job

  • Ideally you will hold NVQ/City and Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in commercial vehicle repair
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working within the industry
  • You will have a thorough knowledge of HGV, LGV and Trailer systems
  • A Valid Tachograph calibration certification would also be beneficial
  • An HGV Driving licence would be beneficial, along with IRTE technician accreditation, however, relevant training and accreditation will be available to attain these licences
What will your role as a HGV Technician look like
  • Routine inspection and maintenance
  • MOT preparation to DVSA standards
  • Diagnostic investigation and repair
  • Breakdown attendance, within working hours, 24/7 Customer Support rota outside working hours (additional payment)
