Job Description

Greenergy International own and operate a number of facilities within the UK and Abroad. To provide effective management of engineering and capital investment upgrades within these facilities a central engineering and projects team has been developed to provide professional services pertaining to the conception, design, construction and operation of development opportunities alongside providing technical support for engineering compliance at each facility. The team is a multidisciplinary and we are looking to recruit and additional Central Process Engineer to further support the company’s needs.Roles and responsibilitiesThe role includes but is not limited to the following activities;

  • Assist in the continued development, implementation and management of corporate project and engineering systems and standards
  • Working alongside project managers and the other discipline engineers to deliver capital projects
  • Participate in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned projects
  • Take ownership of all Process and Engineering drawings for own projects, i.e. P&ID PFD
  • Carry out process engineering design work including, but not limited to calculations, functional safety reviews, and operating philosophies
  • Ensure all process and engineering modifications under their control fully comply the Management of Change System
  • Provide process engineering knowledge and leadership to support to the Operating site teams to meet business KPIs, and resolve process difficulties when required
  • Participate in and potentially lead functional safety activities, including, HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA assessments
  • To be considered for this opportunity Greenergy are looking for:
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering preferably with experience within the oil and gas or biofuels industry. Preferably a member of a relevant engineering institution i.e. IChemE
  • Strong Health, Safety and Environmental awareness
  • Previous functional safety experience or qualifications desirable
  • A working knowledge of Management of Change and Permit to Work
  • Well organised, able to work remotely, or within an office environment
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite of programs
  • Previous AutoCAD experience would be advantageous
  • Appreciation of other engineering disciplines such as, electrical, instrumentation and control, piping, structural and mechanical engineering.
