How about youOur client has an opportunity at their Grimsby LYOCELL Fibre manufacturing site for a Buyer.The main focus of the role will primarily be on the procurement of indirect goods, services and consumables.Key responsibilities of this roleBuilding and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers, both internally and externally.Identifying new suppliers and negotiating to achieve best value.Commitment to continuous improvement activities, e.g. initiating cost-saving opportunities and carrying out benchmarking activities.Sending out requests for quotation (RFQ) and raising purchase orders (PO).Carrying out all activities in line with global and local purchasing policies.Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods.Providing support to the wider purchasing team.Our client’s ideal candidateEducated to university graduate level or equivalent.Previous experience within a Purchasing role, ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.Excellent interpersonal/communication skills at all levels, both internal and external.Excellent planning, organisational, training and teamwork skills.Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office, ERP/SAP experience would be a bonus.An enthusiastic attitude toward learning and development and a willingness to undertake a CIPS qualification in the future.Why work for our clientCompetitive salary and pension.Be an integral part of a profitable business.Excellent development and training opportunities.Opportunity to work for an environmentally sustainable business, using recycled and renewables resources to produce specialty products.
