How about youWe have an exciting opportunity at our Grimsby LYOCELL Fibre continuous operation factory for an Automation Engineer.Purpose & Key responsibilities for this roleManage a team of Automation Technicians to ensure a sufficient service level to maintain, protect and develop the factory automation systems and infrastructure. Provides technical advice for the Power and Control Team when required. Ensure own and teams SHE performance and behaviors are appropriately managed throughout the areas of responsibility to meet both internal and external requirements/standards. Manages all automation workflow with assistance from the Power, Control & Automation Engineer via a gatekeeping process to ensure that plant maintenance and or improvement work is planned accordingly. Develop the automation system strategy in terms of improving reliability and managing equipment obsolescence and ageing plant. Provide primary support for the automation systems (PLC/Drive/Scada/Networks etc) to others within the business including any out of hours support. Propose, manage and work with the Improvement Team (Projects / Process / Engineering) on the continuous improvements to the factory. Provide technical training to Day & Shift P&C technicians following capital investment or plant improvement work.Our ideal candidate Engineering degree or equivalent. NEBOSH/IOSH qualification(s). A time served experienced P&C / E&I technician would be advantageous. Structured, excellent planning, organisational, teamwork, problem resolution skills. Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills inc Microsoft Office packages, SAP and other engineering systems. Professional with effective communication skills at all levels, internally and externally. An individual with both the vision and energy to drive and develop our Automation Team. Must have a pro-active mind set with a flexible approach and willing to adopt new practices.
