Job Description

Role: Sociology TeacherLocation: Greenwich, South-East LondonSalary: £140£210 per dayStart Date: ImmediatelyContract: Temporary to PermanentGSL Education is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and accommodating SociologyTeacher for one of our client secondary schools in Greenwich, immediately. The school wants to help its children develop to be capable, eloquent, and considerate young adults. Through a wide range of learningopportunities, they develop their leadership abilities, resilience, and independent thinking, and the effective pastoral team makes sure that students emotional and mental health are just as vital as their academic success. The main goal is to make sure thatevery kid enjoys their time in school and performs to the best of their ability.About Sociology Teacher role:

  • Carry out responsibilities as guided by the Subject Leader.
  • Be able to teach full-time. In the case of part-time, must be prepared to do general cover in other periods
  • To efficiently prepare and present lessons in line with the demands of the Departments Scheme of Work and National Curriculum
  • Conduct instruction and evaluations for subject classes at agreed-upon key stages
  • Ensure that support staff is used effectively in your classes.
The successful Sociology Teacher will:
  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS and a relevant degree.
  • Experienced, authoritative, specialized subject knowledge reflected in a good degree and an appropriate teaching qualification.
  • An ability to engage and motivate young people.
  • Familiarity with teaching, assessment and examination processes within A Levels Sociology.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS of Child workforce on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
