This is a 12-month contract Processing Engineer role working for a global specialist in the design and manufacture of resilient metal seals, gaskets and ancillary components. Working with the business will provide you with the chance to develop your skillsand experience across a wide range of industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas and power generation. Your working week will be 38 hours over 4days, offering excellent work / life balance.During the 12-month placement, you will be tasked with individual projects targeting improvement of current production processes. You will be expected to research, analyse and create real added value in the area of production process improvement. Before completion of the placement, there will be the opportunity to explore future roles.As part of the production team, you will develop the specialist chemical plating and thermal finishing processes. These approved processes give the organisations products their superior mechanical, sealing and tribological properties, required by their customerscritical applications. Working alongside production engineers, team leaders, and operators, you will use laboratory and process improvement tools and techniques to develop operational excellence in electro-plating and vacuum heat treatment processes.The successful Processing Engineer will have the unrivalled opportunity to contribute to real and critical industrial challenges within an agile, engineering-led and class-leading organisation.
