Job Description

Job IntroductionThe System & Reporting Manager will join the SCS Logistics team that manages construction logistics across the HS2 main works. They will be responsible for Logistics Reporting Dashboards, developed to operational requirements. Other responsibilities includesupporting the Systems Delivery Manager with the logistics systems implementation.The role is aimed at professionals and other construction specialists who can demonstrate a track-record in data analytics and system implementations.Role ResponsibilityRole Success Criteria

  • Reporting dashboards which support logistics decision making
  • End User training to enable data analysis
  • Logistics system implementation
  • Chair weekly logistics meeting
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Own, develop and maintain the Logistics Operational Dashboards (Power BI)
  • Support logistics system integration with other SCS systems
  • Support logistics system implementation
  • Data flow and process engineering (Design-Payment)
  • Managing the Logistics Visualisation Boards & Process
  • Effectively merge and consolidate data, potentially in different formats from different sources, to provide visually compliant reporting to agreed requirements.
The Ideal CandidateRequired qualifications, skills, behaviors and attributes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (essential)
  • Good organisation skills (essential)
  • Power BI experience (essential)
  • Logistic / DMS system experience (preferable)
  • Good IT skills eg Excel, Word (essential) - particularly in-depth knowledge of advanced Excel functions.

  • Demonstrable DAX queries and functions knowledge
  • Own the design and build of database schemas and associated data pipelines (extract, transform and load) routines / processes to facilitate the end-user data and reporting requirements using Power BI
  • Understanding business requirements in BI context and designing clear data models to transform the raw data into meaningful insights
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience of providing insight that drives evidence-based decision making.
