The candidate will sit between the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Risk Assurance Services (RAS) divisions and will support the partners in winning and delivering projects.Client DetailsThe firm was founded by a group of ex-Big4 professionals who saw a strong need in the market for a flexible and hands-on approach to supporting organisations. Their client range is diverse, ranging from multinational PLCs to owner managed SMEs based out of Manchester.DescriptionThe responsibilies of the Special Projects Accountant are to;Support the FAR (Financial Accounting & Reporting) team in delivering client engagements that include:M&A - pre / post deal support.Performing complex financial reporting.Acquisition accounting.Impairment reviews.IFRS 9, 15 & 16 reviews.Statutory accounts preparation.Audit support.Preparing forecasts and budgets.ERP development and implementation.Support the Risk Assurance Service team in delivering client engagements that include:M&A - pre / post deal governance & integration.Develop an understanding of client business processes.Documenting SOPs and creating process maps.Develop internal audit frameworks.Risk assessments on key business activities (RACMs).Present findings of audit results and provide recommendations to clients at all levels.Delivering courses and training sessions to clients.Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues that may impact the firm, our clients and its risk profile.ProfileThe successful Special Projects Accountant should be;ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualified. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and working understanding of Visio.IFRS, UK GAAP.Understanding of governance, risk management and control at an operational and organisational level.Job OfferThe Special Projects Accountant will recieve;Salary of £40-45,000 + bonus Excellent Pension25 days holiday (plus BH)
