Job Description

PICU Sister/Charge Nurse (Band 7)Location: The Portland Hospital, Great Portland Street, LondonHours: 37.5hrs PW (Long days, Nights & Weekends)Salary: Competitive dependent on experience & skills + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)We are currently recruiting for a Sister/Charge Nurse PICU (Band 7) @The Portland Hospital for Women & ChildrenAs a Sister/Charge Nurse in our Paediatric Intensive Care unit, working at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children you will be responsible and accountable for the assessment of required care for your patients, developing, implementing and evaluating holisticcare plans for children. You will be required to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of critical care nursing. To work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for SeniorSisters in their absence.Skills & Experience

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse
  • Extensive nursing experience in a PICU setting
  • Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits
  • Shift lead experience within a Cardiac PICU
  • Teaching and mentorship qualification
  • PILS/EPLS
The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has been operational since November 2011.
