Job Description

Are you an Engineer who puts the customer 1st Do you like dealing with a range of faults including Mechanical and ElectronicalA well-established business within the health care industry who manufacture and maintain high end and range of fitness products including Cardio Equipment, Strength Training Systems & Fitness Entertainment Products for both the home and commercial environment.Covering the Northwest including Lancashire, Manchester, North Wales, Liverpool, Cheshire and parts of Yorkshire with a company van included.In this role you will be responsible for:Customer Care, Field Service Engineer

  • To carry out the repair/maintenance of products to the highest quality standards:
  • to receive and accept the daily list of repair calls, ensuring parts are available to carry out the repairs.
  • to report at the customer site and confirm the job to be done.
  • to carry out the repair of the unit in an efficient and timely manner, testing the unit and leaving it in a working state to the customers satisfaction.
  • to work in an orderly and safe way, leaving the area in a clean state.
  • to request technical assistance from the office where the fault is not readily identifiable.
  • To complete the required call closures and documentation:
  • to complete a job sheet for each repair carried out.
  • to close each job in a timely way ensuring all information, e.g., parts used, time on site, etc are correctly entered.
  • communicate with the office on the progress of work throughout the day.
  • to ensure van stock replenishment is carried out weekly and to request overnight supply of parts where required.
  • to respond to recall logs, identifying the reason for the recall.
  • to ensure all paperwork is returned to the office by the required day.
  • To always represent the company in a professional way:
  • to ensure that the correct uniform is always worn.
  • to act in a courteous and respectful manner with customers and other members of the public on sites.
  • to exceed customer expectations
  • To maintain vehicle and parts in a safe working state.
  • ensure regular vehicle checks and servicing are carried out, maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy state.
  • Ensure that all parts carried are properly packaged, labelled, and stored in a secure manner.
  • to be responsible for all tools, etc; always keeping them secure.
This role will involve travelling to various customer locations in and around the Greater Manchester area and on occasions further afield as the role requires.You Will
  • A formal qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a field service environment
  • Planning and Organizing. Highly organized with a can-do attitude, even in challenging situations
  • Team player attitude and taking accountability
  • Meeting customer expectations, putting thecustomer first.
  • Aware of the companys strategy
  • Likes Sports and technical sport products
  • Experience in the fitness industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated with good time management in day-to-day planning.
  • Excellent customer interface skills.
  • A full, clean driving license
