Job Description

Our client based in Bolton islooking to recruit aSenior Production Executiveon a permanent basis...Day to day duties:-

  • To manage source base of all styles from order placement to launch.
  • Purchase Order placement. Help PM negotiate final prices, when required.
  • Supervise the distribution of the Supplier Manual to any new suppliers.
  • To issue & approve Supplier NDAs.
  • Be confident that the current supply base is compliant and transparent. Encourage all factories to take a sustainable approach and provide evidence of such.
  • Assist the Production Manager re CSR in the supply chain & be aware of all the latest legislation.
  • Daily contact with all factories.
  • Manage the delivery schedule.
  • Fully aware of current customs legislation and procedures.
  • Manageaudits & reports
  • Awareness of currency and duty fluctuations and the effect this will have on the business.
  • Help negotiate and manage payment terms with the supply base.
  • To manage the supply chain and freight, negotiating the most efficient and effective mode of transport.
  • Adhere to the critical path to ensure all product is delivered in a timely manner, according to the launch calendar.
  • Ensure every suppliers performance is tracked and monitored through either site visits or reports. Take action on this information.
  • Monitor the supply base through KPIs.
  • Issue fines or discounts for late deliveries or less than acceptable quality standards.
  • Help the team bringto a market, world-class, fit-for-purpose products, builtand engineered to Brand standards, by working with the best factories.
  • Communicate regularly with the warehouse.
  • Independently plan and organiseallocatedworkload.
  • Coordinatedaily communication with all suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Constantly review and negotiate better terms with Freight Forwarder.
  • Be prepared for international travel, when required.
  • Effectively manage any direct reports.
  • Attend key internal meetings, according to the critical path.
  • Work effectively with the merchandising team regarding budgets and margins
Requirements:-
  • 3 x Years Supply chain or Sourcing-related experience.
  • Factory knowledge.
  • Amazing organizational skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Awareness of current manufacturing legislation.
  • Sportswear or branded apparel experience.
  • Knowledge and passion for sustainability.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify product or factory risk and confidently provide solutions
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be a decision-maker.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good negotiator.
  • Ability to remain calm when deadlines are looming.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach toproblem solving
  • Flexible and open to evolving business needs andpriorities
  • Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify risk and confidently provide solutions
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Efficient use of Excel.
  • Hands on approach where appropriate
