Description: Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support its growing European Amazon Advertising business. Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and ecommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions across Amazons mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices and DSP solutions. We are breaking fresh ground and pioneering a crucial platform for future Amazon growth. We are entrepreneurial and have a bias for action with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate. This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon.We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the European Amazon Advertising team. The candidate will be an experienced and highly motivated individual who will manage core aspects of the OTT and Audio Ads program and sponsorship event management. This includes holistic ownership of the OTT business (over-the-top streaming media services offered directly to viewers via the internet) including Pricing, Deal Evaluation, Negotiating Deal terms and driving monetization initiatives coupled with managing monetization for High traffic events in EU throughout the year.This role will work closely with Sales and Product teams to maximize monetization of Amazons OTT inventory. Day to day activities include reviewing product performance and adoption, identifying opportunities for improving performance, striking the right balance between unit price and sell through, creating performance metrics that demonstrate the value of the products and monitoring compliance and adoption across the organization, including international locales. At the same time the individual will also work with sponsorship team on pricing, go to market strategy for events like Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday as well as sporting events like Premier League and Bundesliga.This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Sales and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Primary responsibilities include:• Establish pricing for OTT and Audio ads. Analyse and test pricing alternatives to continually refine our pricing.• Support upfront negotiations with Sales and Product leaders.• Initiatives management, tracking and regular reporting.• Develop quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new products.• Manage pricing and monetization of High Traffic events in EU.• Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations.• Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews.Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce or similar discipline with analytical bias.• Extensive finance experience or in a related field.Preferred Qualifications: • MBA or Post Graduate Degree in relevant field.• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.• Have prior working experience managing OTT products.• Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment.• Experience solving complex and large-scale pricing problems and applications.• Advanced Excel modelling skills.• Strong program/product management skills.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
