Job Description

Multitask are looking for anexperienced Senior Engineer/Supervisorto support the Project and Site Managers in the successful delivery of projects.You will need to have experiencewithin the Data/ IT field andbe able to demonstrate a strong hands-on ability as well as managing a small team of engineers.This role will develop into full site management and training will be given to the right candidate.Thisrole involves:

  • Understanding project requirements by reviewing project drawings, specifications, and related documents
  • Carrying out testing using relevant fluke equipment, interrogating test results, managing testing teams. (Training can be given for this if required)
  • Liaising with the Project/Site Manager, as required, throughout the project and following relevant instructions
  • Supervising small teams and contract staff
  • Working on the tools when needed
  • Performing bench marking duties, setting quality standards
  • Ensuring quality is achieved in line with company QA procedures
  • Supporting the Project/Site Manager to coordinate services and site activities with other trades and in line with the master programme of works
  • Standing in for the Project/Site Manager at site meetings, as and when required.
  • Supporting the Project/Site manager in liaison with the HSQE team, as necessary and manage/control/co-ordinate/deliver allH&S responsibilities on site, as necessary.
  • Understanding the labour, material, and time requirements of the project
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of material/resource/sub-contractor requisitions, as necessary, in a timely fashion to successfully deliver the project
  • Supporting the business in any way necessary when requested by Management and/or Directors
    • The ideal candidates will have:
  • Excellent cabling knowledge and industry-recognised qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor (preferable)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer-facing skills
  • Good administration skills, computer literate
  • Good organising and problem solving skills
  • A positive attitude
  • The ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail
  • Competency in H&S (SSSTS or SSSMS an advantage)
  • Familiarity with Fluke DTX or equivalent
