Security Testing Pre-Sales Consultant

Job Description

As a result of continued growth within Armadillo Cyber Security Services, we are seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to support our sales and delivery teams. The primary requirement of the role is to carry out technical scoping for customer penetrationtesting requirements and to provide technical expertise on customer scoping calls.You will be able to use your technical expertise of cybersecurity and penetration testing along with knowledge of our services lines to identify testing programmes that meet our customers needs.There will also a need to assist the delivery team with Report QA to ensure consistency and maintaining high quality of penetration testing reports to our customers.As a customer facing role and you will be dealing with a range of external clients across different sectors, and it is important that the successful candidate in this role is comfortable dealing with demanding clients as well as the technical aspects ofthe role.This is a remote position and the successful candidate will be home based, however, there will be the option to work flexibly from one of our local hubs (between 2-4 days a month). • Participate in scoping calls with new and existing customers in the capacity of technical expert on penetration testing.
• Translate customer requirements, objectives and security concerns into technical testing scopes.
• Assist with Report QA ensuring high quality of penetration testing reports.
• Provide technical input into commercial Bids and Tenders.
• Act as Technical Account Manager for framework clients and key accounts.
• Articulate Armadillos unique selling points and how our approach differs from our competitors.
• Review customer provided documentation (i.e. HLD/LLDs) and create technical scopes.
• Liaise with internal Subject Matter Experts within our testing team to seek additional expertise and clarify scopes.
• Assist Project Management team with technical queries
• Keep up to date with latest testing and ethical hacking methods
• Make suggestions for service line improvements

Required Skills/Qualities:

• Excellent communications skills - both client-facing and with internal peers.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity testing and the value this brings to organisations.
• Ability to scope a range of penetration tests, including infrastructure, application security, API, mobile apps, and cloud security. Balancing the need to ensure sufficient time is available to test comprehensively, whilst ensuring scopes remain commerciallycompetitive.
• A solid understanding of penetration testing
• Comfortable representing Armadillo on technical scoping calls.
• Ability to articulate the business benefits of security testing to a non-technical audience.
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and escalate issues when necessary.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
• Good overview of cybersecurity tends and current threat landscape.
• Experience working with HM Government and IT Health CHECKs would be advantageous.

Required Qualifications:

• CREST CRT, Tiger QSTM or Cyberscheme CSTM - either current or lapsed (desirable)
• SC Clearance held (or prepared to undergo clearance)
• Azure, AWS or Google Cloud certification (desirable)
• Offensive Security OSCP (desirable)

Relevant Experience:

• Exposure to technical pre-sales or penetration testing experience of systems, web-based applications and networks.
• Customer facing role in technical
• Performing Report QA or review of technical reports.
• Collaborating with sales and technical teams.
• Previous role as a penetration tester (desirable)
