The Role of the Sales Development Specialist
  • Our client is the market leader in the resuscitation sector selling things like defibrillators, associated accessories and also service packages.
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office and for the right person can be more flexible).
  • This is an outboard/cold calling role.
  • You will be following up on leads that have come within the Public Safety market (football stadiums, rugby stadiums, concert venues, pubs, clubs, commercial building etc.......).
  • The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for the initial phases of the sales cycle.
  • You will perform qualification activities to increase the sales pipeline.
  • You will work closely with the marketing specialist to drive the success of marketings lead generation campaigns and actively generate leads through cold calling to increase the pipeline for the Public Safety market.
  • Identify and develop key contacts and decision makers within prospect accounts.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities from lead generation activities, inbound product enquiries and outbound calling campaigns into defined target groups.
  • Utilise consultative sales approach to evaluate and understand customers business and needs.
  • Cold-calling potential customers, be able to generate own sales leads.
  • Communicate our clients value proposition and tailor to customer needs.
  • Timely and accurate data entry of all pertinent customer information into the CRM database.

The Ideal Person for the Sales Development Specialist
  • Ideally two years of experience in an Inside Sales, Lead Development or Account Management role developing relationships across a wide range of customers/clients via phone and email.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ensure timely and accurate follow-up.
  • Excellent phone and computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Proven experience using the internet to conduct research.
  • Ability to perform individually with specific direction and manage time efficiently.
  • Develop an organised daily routine of reviewing leads, making outbound calls, and responding to customer emails.
  • Energetic, creative, motivated self-starter, goal oriented and a team player.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM applications is a plus.
