Job Description

We are excited to be partnering with Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) to recruit a Risk, Assurance & Compliance Manager to join their team enhancing the organisations Risk and Assurance Team. Working closely with and supporting the Assistant Director,you will be a proactive supporter of the organisationsbusiness transformation journey, ensuring ongoing compliance and mitigation of risk for the Organisation, as it continues to evolve in the future.The JobTo lead on the development and implementation of WCHGs risk management and corporate assurance frameworks and to support the Assistant Director of Compliance & Assurance in ensuring WCHGs compliance requirements are adhered to.Key responsibilities

  • Lead on the development and implementation of WCHGs risk management framework
  • Maintain the WCHGs strategic risk register and monitor all active risks through the Risk Management software/system
  • Evaluate colleagues level of risk awareness and provide training and support when necessary
  • Develop and implement the corporate assurance framework, providing assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls
  • Manage the WCHG Insurance Programme
  • Work with the business to ensure that there are effective and tested Business Continuity Plans in place
  • Provide sound technical advice to the business on regulatory and compliance matters including the Regulator of Social Housings (RSH) regulatory standards, business ethics including anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, and laws and regulations relevant tothe customer services provided by WCHG
  • Continually evaluate any emerging and new areas of corporate compliance to ensure business awareness and preparedness
  • To provide and prepare high quality, written reports and reviews on Compliance, Risk and Assurance for Senior Management, the Executive, Group Audit & Risk Committee, and the Board
The Person
  • You will have a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in risk management and sound technical expertise in developing and implementing integrated risk and assurance frameworks within a Social Housing environment.
  • You naturally apply a systematic approach to decision making and problem solving, calculating, and identifying risks involved in any particular course of action.
  • You will possess highly developed analytical skills, experienced atworking collaboratively at a senior management level, and possess strong communication skills to liaise withdifferent stakeholders. You will be confident to be able to influence the shapingand implementation of any changes to processes, policies, and procedures.
The role is 35 hours per week however it could also be considered as part-time (minimum 3 days per week) or apply compressed hours / flexible working practices. The offices are North West based and will operate a hybrid, not a fully WFH policy.
