Job Description

Hours: Various arrangements available (Shifts are 7-9am Tuesday to Friday and/or 4-9pm Monday to Thursday). There is requirement for the postholder to work weekends or public holidays.Term Time Only - 39 Weeks per yearCan you make a difference to the life of a young person with a sensory impairmentAn opportunity to join our highly motivated and skilled team as a Residential Careworker has become available within our residential unit, Richley House.The main focus of this provision is to ensure children and young people get the best possible experience whilst staying at Richley House. They come to the residential unit for relaxation, the opportunity to make friends and to attend a variety of clubs and activities including swimming, music, and Scouts.Comments from the our young people regarding qualities they have identified as important for a Residential Careworker include;

  • Linden Lodge School is a leading provider of education for visually-impaired children and young people aged 2 - 19 years. We have a three acre campus in Wimbledon with good transport links (8 minutes walk from Southfields underground station on the district line and well positioned for 493 and 39 bus routes) offering innovative indoor and outdoor facilities to support teaching and learning whilst promoting children and young peoples independence.This is an exciting time to join the school, our most recent OFSTED was judged as "Good" (November 2019). Stating Boarders live in modern, purpose built accommodation. They have full use of the schools extensive facilities, which include a hydrotherapy pool and a music suite.
